Major General Nasser Salem Al Nuaimi

Abu Dhabi is living through significant economic and social growth and other changes that are occurring across the Region. Effective community policing has an important role in developing our policing style which can lead to maintaining public security and strengthening community reassurance in this fast changing times.

The Community Policing and Police Science institute comes from understanding that the challenges of policing diverse communities require everybody to share the experiences and gain knowledge. We need to identify the best practices that we can adopt to ensure that the policing services we provide meet the needs and expectations of our communities.

CPPSI gives us the opportunity to frame a common vision for community policing and police science in the region and to adopt models that uphold the values and traditions of our societies.

Lt. Gen. Mohammed Bin Al Awadi Al Menhali

At 1st I offer you a sincere welcome to the Community Policing and Police Science institute website.

We are justifiably proud of the progress that has been made in developing the Community Policing and Police Science Institute to join all of our efforts to develop our policing style and staff through professional training to meet the needs and expectations of Abu Dhabi’s growing and diverse population.

It recognizes the importance of safety and security of society based upon arrangements that bring together the police, the community and partner agencies in a co-operative and mutually supportive role to address community concerns about crime, social disorder and the fear of crime.

The Institute creates the opportunity to give our staff the best training in the right framework to achieve the vision for Community Policing and Police Science in the UAE and the region.
